An edition is a number of reproductions taken from the same source (printing plate, negative, silkscreen, digital file, etc.) A limited edition is a number of prints created in a fixed quantity. This means that a fixed number of prints or impressions are produced, thus making the print more scarce, valuable and collectable.

Limited edition prints are certified, signed, and marked with both their edition size and number (meaning at what point in the edition run it was struck/printed; ie 1 of 100). The certificate of authenticity also includes this edition size and number (certificate will be provided with delivery of artwork).
